Thinking about going on a cruise in April. I’ve never been on one before and will probably go on a short one to somewhere close for my first time like the Bahamas. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Royal Caribbean is a good cruise line for a first time cruiser because they offer a lot of activities and there ships are well maintained. All cruise lines and ships are not the same so make sure you research the ship to make sure it has activities to fit your lifestyle.
You need to do some research and determine the activity level and ship type. I’d check out cruise critic as it has a lot of profiles of different lines and reviews by passengers.
Carnival is a good choice for a first time cruiser. Their cruises are very economical and a good way to try it out.
Silverstar. Once you’ve taken a Silverstar cruise, you’ll never go back.
You can take a 3/4 night cruise to the Bahamas with Carnival or Royal Caribbean. Those two cruise lines would be good choices. I found a great deal for you on 4/29 for $219pp with Carnival. That would give you a 3-night cruise. Nice way to get introduced to cruising. Click the link below, its free to sign up!

Hope I helped!
I went on my first cruise last fall with Norwegian we went to Alaska. It was great and you get wonderful treatment. The activities were so much fun we were on the go all the time enjoying every minute. They have a cruise that goes to the Bahamas. The food was out of this world and a huge Selection. I marveled at the size of the ship and the capacity of employees and passengers. I’m ready to go again only I want to go to Hawaii. Hope you have as great a time as I did.
