My mother and I are going on a celebrity x Cruise this week and I was wondering how much do people spend? We have about 600 dollars saved for the cruise, would that be enough. Where also going to Key west, and Guzomel.

I have been on more than 20 cruises and my advice is take $200 to $300. You can get more from an ATM on the ship if you need it. That’s about what I take on a 7 day cruise and rarely use it all.

The price of your cruise includes your cabin, all meals (including breakfast, lunch dinner, snacks and free room service), free admissions to all shows and entertainment, and free use of all facilities on ship except spa services. Once you get on the ship everything is cashless. If you book tours through the ship before the cruise the charges will go on a credit card. If you book tours after you are on the ship the charges will go on your on-board tab.

You will not need much cash on the ship for anything except the casino if you go there to gamble. On shore you’ll need cash if you decide to take a taxi anywhere, or buy things at the markets. Small purchases you use cash and large ones, like jewelry, you use a credit card.

Your $600. will be more than enough.

The amount of $ you need on a cruise is highly variable. You actually don’t need that much while you are on the ship. Food is included and drinks are not expensive. Where you’ll spend the money is in port and if you purchase excursions and extras. They try to sell you pictures and all kinds of stuff. If you don’t need or want them, you’ll be fine. The shore excursions are very pricey. But, if you just go ashore and browse or sight see on your own, it doesn’t have to cost that much. The amount of $ you need really depends mostly on how you like to spend your time.

Rough rule of thumb is $100/day/person.
    For good discounts consult vacationstogo.com.

Just come back from 9 day cruise booked 3 weeks before departure, got 72% discount. Had a junior suite with balcony for $800 each!

A lot of meals are free. Excursions and shopping is what costs money. Look on celebrity x cruises for excursions cost at those sites. Other than that most meals to my knowledge are comped or included in excursions you should be more than fine unless you two love to shop.

Depends on what kind of room you want and what emenities the ship has to offer. My guess is that most rooms cost around a thousand dollars for 4 days per person. I would bring more money.
