Miss Your Menubar?
If you are unfamiliar with the term, a menubar is the standard menu you see across the top of most any application window. Typically, you’ll see “File”, “Edit”, “Help”. You will likely see less and less of this as time moves on as Microsoft beings to replace it with a new toolbar style menu which is a better looking, dynamic menu system that can sometimes change based on your current view within the program. You’ll see this in IE7 and in Vista’s File Explorer. In File Explorer you’ll see menu items change based on what you have selected: select a drive, a folder, a file and watch the menu options change as you go. It’s cool but if you like the old menubar IE7 and File Explorer still have them: just hit the ALT key or F10 to bring them back (and ALT again to hide it if you change your mind).

You can also make them show all the time by going to "Tools" in the Menu bar, "Folder Options...", click the View tab, and check "Always show menus."

Good one Brian-- that is one of the great things (in my opinion) about Windows [Vista]: there are often several ways to do the same thing. Hopefully clicking around finds you one of them!
