Internet Explorer Hotkeys

Some of these are handy if you get accustomed to using them. Others are far less useful unless your mouse is not working (perhaps you threw it across the room for some reason?)…

Alt-Left Arrow = go to the previous page
Alt-Right Arrow = go to the next page
Ctrl-Tab = go to the next tab
Shift-Ctrl-Tab = go to the previous tab
Ctrl-Shift-Q = show list of open tabs

Shift-Click = open link in new window
Esc = stop page from loading
F5 = refresh page
Ctrl-F5 = refresh page and cache
Space bar = scroll down the page
Shift-Space bar = scroll up the page
Shift-F1 0 = open context menu for selected item

Alt-D = set focus to the address bar
Ctrl-Enter = add "www." to the front and ".com" to the end of the text typed in the address bar
Ctrl-Shift-Enter = add "www." to the front of the text typed in the address bar (you can then type .net, .org, etc.)

Alt-M = triggers Home action on the command bar
Alt-J = triggers the Feeds action on the command bar
Alt-O = triggers the tools button on the command bar
Alt - L = triggers the Help button on the command bar
Ctrl-E = go to the toolbar search box
Ctrl-Down Arrow = show search provider menu
Alt-Enter = open search query in new tab

Alt-Home = go to your home page
Ctrl-I = open Favorites
Ctrl-Shift-I = open Favorites (pinned mode)
Ctrl-B = organize Favorites
Ctrl-D = add current page to Favorites
Ctrl-J = open Feeds
Ctrl-Shift-J = open Feeds in pinned mode
Ctrl-H = open History
Ctrl-Shift-H = open History in pinned mode

Ctrl-Mouse Wheel Up = zoom in 10 percent
Ctrl-Mouse Wheel Down = zoom out 10 percent
Ctrl-Plus = zoom in 10 percent
Ctrl-Minus = zoom out 10 percent
Ctrl-Zero = zoom to original size
