I am not planning the cruise. I asked for a cruise trip as my Make-a-Wish from bone cancer. I asked for the trip in December of this year (2011) and they just approved the wish this week. How far in advance will they most likely book the cruise? Because I am very excited to figure out what ship/cabin/excursions/etc we will end up getting. Thank you very much!

Our Mexico cruise itinerary is changing thanks to the swine flu. This is a possible new itinerary. What can we do in these ports, and will transportation be difficult and/or expensive? Our other option is cancelling and getting our money back so I want to make sure there is something worthwhile in these ports before I make a decision.

We have heard horrible things about Carnival, so we definitely don’t wang to go on one of those. However, I went on a cruise to Alaska with Holland America and it couldn’t have been better!
