The Carnival Cruise Line has become a huge name in cruise holidays since Ted Arison split from his business partner Knut Kloster in the year 1972 to form his new company, leaving behind the Norwegian Cruise Line that would go on to make a name for itself as a great innovator in the cruise industry. Carnival has carved out its own niche however in the intervening period, gaining itself a name as a provider of cheaper, shorter cruises that have brought the chance for a cruise holiday to people who previously would never have been able to afford it.

The Carnival line has got a huge number of different ships, united by the well-reputed Las Vegas style dcor on board and, further to that, the Vegas-themed entertainment. The Carnival Elation cruise ship is just one of the fleet, and a wonderful example of what makes a cruise ship, too. The on-board amenities, the Vegas styling, the affordable voyages and the astonishing staterooms mark it out as a perfect example of the Carnival’s house style, and much loved by the customers it is too. Affordable it may be, but the Carnival line is not an example of cutting corners to cut costs.

The Carnival line make great play of the name of this ship, and it is easy enough to see why. Seen from above, it is a jaw-dropping example of what makes a cruise ship so many people’s ideal vacation – classy amenities in a ship set out just about perfectly. It is indeed something to behold even from the moment you step on to the boat. Right there in the lobby you will find a bar where you can pick up a cool, refreshing drink before stepping further on to the boat to get a closer look at the facilities you have previously only seen on the website and the brochure.

And what facilities they are, too! Fancy a round of crazy golf? There’s a nine-hole mini golf course on board for you to get your putting game into shape or just have a bit of fun with the family. If the weather gets too hot for you, then you can cool off with a dip in one of three on board swimming pools and while doing so work up an appetite which you can then satisfy in one of the Elation cruise ship’s many dining establishments. Once you’ve done that and quietened your growling stomach, your head should be clear enough to try and outwit the croupiers in the casino.

The range of different ways to enjoy yourself on board this Carnival cruise ship means that you need never get bored. It’s a classic cruise holiday for anyone who enjoys letting their hair down and leaving it all behind. There is something indescribably relaxing about having a holiday in international waters, away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. And even then, if you love the big city, there are plenty of stopping-off points to get your dry-land fix.
